Mullerian Adenosarcoma of Uterus and Cervix- A Report of Four Cases with Review of Literature

Uterine sarcomas are rare female genital tract malignancies. Mullerian adenosarcoma is a biphasic malignant mesenchymal tumor comprising of benign glandular and (usually low grade) stromal component, both which integral neoplastic constituents the tumor.[1] This represents less than 8% uterine sarcomas. About 200 cases have been reported in literature so far [2] 22 case were from India. Adenosarcomas usually grade. Sarcomatous overgrowth defined as presence sarcomatous component more 25% volume. High grade morphology was termed with (i.e, pure sarcoma , without epithelial tumor).The features high include severe nuclear pleomorphism, prominent nucleoli increased mitotic activity necrosis[2].
